HUG-ME-PILLOWS is the dream of  Julie, a long-time military spouse and photo art expert. Having been married to a retired Marine for over 30 years she is intimately familiar with family challenges created by overseas deployments and separation. Years ago during her husband’s deployments, Julie observed that her small children would carry around a favorite picture of their dad while he was gone.  The photos seemed to serve as a security blanket or link between the children and their dad.

Although her children are now grown, Julie has never forgotten the benefit of those photos or the role they played in helping her and her children make it through the long deployments. Along with her friend Liz (seamstress and spouse of a former Marine) they have teamed to create HUG-ME-PILLOWS. Their goal is to help the family and friends of those deployed make it through the long separations.  Your pillows are created to be more than a photograph to remember; they are created to provide a memory to cling to.
